So here's the finished product. All nice and shiny. Mixed by Adam Hill. Mastered by Kevin Cubbins. And featuring some of the best musicians we know. Thanks to Adam, Kevin, Preston Todd, Greg Faison, Dirk Kitterlin, John Whittemore, Rick Steff, Greg Roberson, Dave Shouse, Krista Wroten, Jana Misner, and EJ Dyce for their contributions to the records. We are quite proud of this collection. Enjoy.
Lots of guitars, drums, and more importantly... Rick Steff. Just revisiting our pre-TTM roots for a bit. Enjoy another free new tune. Thin Blue Flame by The Third Man
A somewhat fitting song, for this memorial day. A long time coming, we've finalized this song. Been on the burner for a while, probably well before our friends in Green Day titled their smash hit. Amazing string parts, yet again. Kudos ladies...
Please enjoy, and sit tight for June's release. A band fav, with a slight shift in direction (and era).
Here's a new song. Its called Where I Fall. We like it and hope you do too. Thanks to our friends Dave Shouse and EJ Dyce for helping us bring the song to fruition. Dave handled all the rad vocal effects and EJ laid down the sweet trumpet lines.
Here is a little tune we came up with sometime last year. It was created and used for an intro to a major motion picture... nah. It was a short film about memphis music.
Welcome to The Third Man blog. As with most blogs, we will be posting our thoughts and feelings on any number of subjects in the hopes of entertaining or amusing you, the reader, in some way. We are currently working on and off in the studio on a new batch of tunes and i hope to post those here when are fully completed. Talk to you soon
... will post current things about us, that other people say, as soon as they say something, specifically about our new tunes.
As promised, The Third Man received a small blurb in a recent Memphis Flyer article... featuring the adorable Bullet Proof Vests, saying we were "two of Memphis' most consistently enjoyable bands" - J.D. Reager.
